Our rates

Standard Private Rates:

  • Initial Assessment, 30 minute visit: $89
  • Extended Assessment, 1 hour (one-on-one) $140 
  • Subsequent Visits, 30 minutes: $79 
  • Subsequent Visits, 60 minutes: $158 


ICBC Patients: $0 user fee on approved claims. Initial visit 1 hour, subsequent visits, 30 minutes. Click here for more information on ICBC Claims and what to bring on first visit.

WorkSafe Patients: $0 user fee on approved claims. Initial visit 1 hour, subsequent visits, 30 minutes. Click here for more information on WSBC Claims and what to bring on first visit.

Please Note: If you attend an appointment prior to your ICBC or WorkSafe claim being approved, you will be charged the standard private rate (as listed above). Once your claim is approved, we will make the necessary reimbursements.

MSP Premium Assistance: There will be a $35 user fee for those who are eligible for MSP premium assistance. Please note, MSP will only cover 10 visits a year (this includes Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Naturopathy, and Non-surgical Podiatry). If you have already used all 10 of these visits, you will be charged the standard private rate. For more information about MSP premium assistance please click here:

Notice to all Patients:

You must make the receptionist aware of your insurance status when making your initial booking (ICBC, WorkSafe or MSP, Student Care Network). Otherwise you may be charged the full standard private rate for your visit.

If you are unsure of your coverage or have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help!

Cancellation Policy:

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, we ask that you provide our office with 24 hours notice. You will be charged $79 for any missed appointments, if you do not provide 24 hours notice. Please be advised that ICBC and WorkSafe do not cover missed appointment or late cancellation fees.


Direct Billing: Personal Insurance

North Vancouver Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic is pleased to offer online direct billing for physiotherapy to number of extended health carriers (see list below). Availability of this service is dependent on your carrier and/or plan. Please note that all treatment fees are the responsibility of the patient. If online direct billing is not available, you will be asked to pay for your visit up front and we will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your extended health carrier for reimbursement.

  • Sun Life Financial
  • Maximum Benefits
  • Pacific Blue Cross
  • Medavie Blue Cross (Veterans Affairs, Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP)
  • Greenshield
  • SSQ Financial

What you need to bring

  1. Your extended benefits card with policy number and member ID
  2. Doctor's referral, if required by your policy

Direct Billing FAQs

  • How do I know how much I am covered for?
    You can learn the details of your coverage by contacting your extended health carrier or from your plan administrator.
  • What if my visit is partially covered by my extended health carrier?
    We can still bill your carrier! If your visit is partially covered we will bill the covered amount to the carrier and ask that you pay the balance of your visit at the end of each treatment.
  • Can we coordinate benefits?
    At this time North Vancouver Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic will bill 1 (one) third party carrier per visit (eg: 1 Extended Health Carrier or ICBC or MSP). Coordination of benefits is not available. We will bill your primary carrier until the plan funds have been exhausted. To comply with insurance carrier policies, we cannot bill your secondary carrier once your primary plan funds have been exhausted.
  • Do I need a doctor’s referral?
    North Vancouver Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic does not require a doctor’s referral however some plans do require one. Please check with your extended health carrier to learn your plan requirements.
  • What if I have an open ICBC, Worksafe or other insurance claim?
    If you have an open insurance claim we cannot bill your visit to your extended health carrier if it is related to the open claim. You will need to pay for the treatment and seek reimbursement from your carrier. Once your claim is fully settled, in some circumstances we are still unable to bill on your behalf - this is due to polcies in place by some insurance providers.
  • What if my claim is denied?
    If your visit is denied for online direct billing we ask that your balance is paid in full at the end of each treatment. The front desk staff will advise you if your claim has been denied before you leave. Please note: Some plans have restrictions that do not allow for online direct billing. To check if you are eligible for this service please contact your extended health carrier.


Student Care Network (Ihaveaplan)

Please note we will bill you the discounted rate outlined in your plan. However we will not direct bill Blue Cross on your behalf, as we only bill 1 funder per appointment. Please call us for more details.
